Hello, I’m Rıza Kaya. Driven by my entrepreneurial spirit, I pursued an MBA to enhance my management skills after a successful career in engineering. Over the years, I had the privilege of leading significant international projects and managing my own company. Yet, one dream always lingered—to open a coffee shop.

This dream was fueled by my passion for exploring flavors across 40 countries. The kürtőskalács I discovered in Hungary, Prague, and the Balkans became the inspiration for SWIVEL. To bring this vision to life, I dedicated a year and a half to meticulous planning and preparation. I deepened my expertise in coffee by attending courses and earning SCA certifications, while collaborating with skilled consultants to craft every detail of this project. For me, innovation and quality have always been paramount. Together, we wrote the story of SWIVEL, shaping its unique character and brand.

I chose Istanbul for its rich coffee culture and historical charm. Kadıköy, where I live and which I deeply love, stood out as the perfect neighborhood to realize this dream. At SWIVEL, our desserts are freshly prepared right in front of our guests, using only our own handcrafted recipes. We strive to answer common questions like, "Are your desserts fresh?" and "Do you make them yourselves?" with the utmost confidence by prioritizing quality in every aspect of our work.
